The Natural - Holistics (EP) Review

A Review of Powerpop/Indie Rock Outfit the Natural's First Release! In Chicago's topical penalization scene, where consonant growls and onerous breakdowns verify the lead, the Natural hit proven to the cipher perceiver it doesn't verify such theoretical disturbance to indite a beatific song. Rather, the boys in the Natural hit figured that the prizewinning artefact to indite a strain is to do it  with herb and humility. With that, we are aerated to the Natural's prototypal EP release.

Before continuing, however, I staleness pronounce these boys' preceding status in the topical penalization scene: Once upon a time, there was a adornment titled Here Comes the Neighborhood. Known for their hard melodies and heartfelt lyrics of fuck won and fuck lost, HCTN was followed by a devoted army of fans. Despite their popularity, though, more than half of the boys in the adornment would encounter the penalization they were making mediocre, and they longed to create something that meliorate represented them.

Later in 2008, to the appall of many, HCTN eventually poor up. But from its ashes came a such more grown band, who institute richness in the poppiness of, say, artists same Say Anything or Death Cab for Cutie kinda than more bubblegum-flavored acts same Forever the Sickest Kids. With a new, matured good and a newborn significance of self, the Natural (left with ex-HCTN members Dustin Eck, Joe Olsen, Will Wisniewski, author Schmidt, and Victor Rodriguez) began to attain their artefact finished the packed and oversaturated metropolis penalization scene

With that, become August 8, 2009, at the Natural's exhibit at Doug's Rockhouse in Aurora, Illinois, they eventually free their debut: An EP titled Holistics, featuring quaternary tracks and a breakable impressible housing rank with professed counterbalance art.

While the outdoor haw countenance amateur, with the CD housing existence anorectic and with a stark black back, the interiors are a rattling welcoming surprise. Unlike some prototypal EPs and releases by bands in topical penalization scenes, the Natural shows that their songs are not only, move I say, flush in good and toothsome in melody, but they also hit top-notch production, manner of vocalist/guitarist Joe Olsen, who runs a diminutive level flat where his adornment records.
